Just finished a move in Brooklyn and had a stellar experience with Cool Hand. They offered the best rate (I checked with a half dozen movers in advance), and had clear and prompt communication in advance. We got a pack and move, and they showed up on time, did the packing job quickly and efficiently (carefully wrapping all fragile items). If I could give ZERO stars I would. After moving many, many times in NYC this has to be hands-down worst move I have ever experienced. The movers were beyond incompetent: destroying over $14k in furniture. Then we are told OOPS you didn't buy the extra insurance for us to replace your items if WE DESTROY THEM. Marble Saarinen table - dropped and cracked in half. Slatted wood console - picked up by the slats. WHO DOES THAT? RUN. Choose any other movers - I'd bet anything that the glowing reviews here are paid for.

We had a great experience with Cool Hand Movers for our move within Brooklyn. Tafari and Ruben were absolute pros. They handled our 2-bedroom move with ease, and they were friendly, efficient, and asked all the right questions. They went above and beyond, and we would absolutely hire them again.

I thought I’d had a pretty good moving experience with a different company before, but was so happy with my packing & moving experience this week which was even better. Communication was awesome, both when I had some questions & changes during booking and on the day of. The movers were very thorough, careful and checked in often to confirm whether items should be moved, where delicate items were packed, etc. and they handled the walk-up drop off like pros. Absolutely fantastic experience with this moving team! They helped me dispose of my old bed and expertly assembled my new one — all with great communication, professionalism, and care. They arrived right on time, worked quickly but carefully, and made what could’ve been a stressful task feel totally seamless. It’s rare to find a service that’s this efficient and friendly. I’ll definitely be calling them again for future moves and highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable help with furniture or moving logistics!
