After almost a year of on/off service, 2 no shows for service, multiple billing issues and being lied to by customer service so many times I lost count. I cancelled internet service, but still stuck with phone until I can figure out how to get rid of it as well. AS far as I am concerned the local folks who do service call are great, but there is absolutely no good reason to do business with this company. To anyone considering service, find another alternative.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Consolidated Communications had a monopoly in my rural area for years, and they acted like it. They charged over $100 per month for internet service that was slow, unreliable, and frequently delivered only a fraction of the speeds I was paying for. The service was plagued by outages, inconsistent performance, and chronic underdelivery. When you are charging premium prices, customers should at least receive the product they were promised. I spent an hour and a half and got transferred 7 times trying to set up a phone. They are terrible but have a monopoly in this area.
