Came to consano when I was about 4 months post partum prior to starting any exercise. I asked to check if I had any diastasis recti to which I was told I had none and apparently my muscles had all gone back to normal with no gaps. I had no clue as to how to check this hence visited a female health physio. I went elsewhere for a second opinion and was told I had a 3 finger gap in my lower abdominal muscles. This clinic is quite expensive but I would not recommend it as I don't feel the practitioners have enough of experience ... read more

I was diagnosed with tight pelvic floor muscles a was told I needed to learn to relax them. This was the reason I had some physio work. The physio thought I had bowel pain due to a poor diet and I was told I needed to exercise and do more to improve my overall strength and health as I was always fatigued on my appointment days. Similar to the review left by Ms Celeste Butler - that physio thinks it's in your head.

I had a number of sessions at Consano during my investigation to chronic pelvic pain. The physio had told me that I could train my brain to think of pain differently. I have recently been diagnosed with both endometriosis and adenomyosis so I'm not sure how much money I would have needed to spend to train my neuropathways not to feel the diseases inside of me.

If you are looking for wise, kind, gentle and very helpful assistance with issues relating to discomfort, pain, prolapse, or other "women's issues" whether following birth of baby or otherwise, Alison is just the best. I saw Alison first when I was experiencing intense physical discomfort and deep distress and felt that she heard me, understood my problem and gave me a great solution. I recommend her as easy to talk to about difficult things, amazingly knowledgeable and supportive and very good at finding practical answers.
