Trust the reviews. This bank refused to cash a check issued by one of its own clients. I was told they could not cash it because I did not have an account with them and because their client did not have a payroll account. I took the same check to my own bank, and they confirmed that it was valid and would clear later that day. I’m not sure what is going on with this bank, but based on my experience, providing good customer service does not appear to be a priority.

ConnectOne's staff is incredibly professional, courteous, and friendly; they truly prioritize customer service. I originally chose them because their High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA) offers one of the best interest rates in the industry. While some online banks offer high rates, they lack the trust of a physical branch where you can speak to someone face-to-face.
