They were hired to facilitate reconciliation. They facilitated 15+ hours of "listening sessions" but zero hours of conversations aimed at finding common ground that could achieve reconciliation. Their lack of neutrality was apparent and resulted in further divisions and made reconciliation an impossibility. They were nice people, but completely ineffective in the art of mediation.
