I have been using this bike shop for 15 years and recommend it highly. I have bought two bikes from them and had repairs on all my bikes done here. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They always listen to what you want and are prepared to go the extra mile to adjust something exactly how you need it. The products they offer are well chosen and made to last. The service they offer is much appreciated.
I have been struggling to find some AXA Flex mounts for a while. These arrived from Compton Cycles very well wrapped and via one of our more reliable couriers. (Thankyou!). Recommended bike shop. No fuss, just a decent quality service.
I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I wouldn’t recommend using their workshop services at all. I made the mistake, despite seeing bad reviews, of going there because they seemed to have the tool needed to repair my bike. Initially I asked to have my seat post sleeve changed, the staff took about five minutes to check my bike and then informed me that they would only proceed with the repair if I paid for a full service, which would cost with replacements over £300!!!, according to t... read more
I was trying to find a fairly niche gravel bike (Surly) on my cycle to work scheme. Compton Cycles was the only place who could supply it, and I’m so glad they did. Excellent service, quick responses to my many emails and just a nice friendly vibe. Not to mention the bike which is absolutely spot on and built to perfection. Big shout out to the mechanic and Aaran.
