The Compassion Kadampa Center touches my heart with profound kindness. I am so fortunate to have them in this precious life.
I am only 14 and I went with my mom and the people there are very kind and welcoming.
I mostly attend online, and the meditations and teachings feel as effective as when I'm able to attend in person. Everyone is so kind when I do come that if I didn't live so far away, I'd always attend in person.
I first found the Center when it was located in Midtown Sac. They had a sign outside about Monday Night Happiness Meditation and I thought, "Sounds good to me!"... I wandered in and have been going ever since. Great way to learn more about training our minds to focus on meaningful thoughts rather than doom and gloom.
The teachings from the monk were very clear and inspirational. Learning to meditate has been so very helpful and peaceful when dealing with life challenges.
