I hired Community Tax back in 2018. Looking back, it was a huge waste of time and money. They didn’t help me save any money, nor did anything that I couldn’t have done on my own. You’re better off reaching out to the IRS directly. Community Tax advertises that they will help cut your tax debt, but they don’t. If you owe the IRS, they’ll see that you pay every cent owed. I worked with an agent therstion, he was extremely friendly,knowledgeable and understanding. Even tho I didn't end up finishing up my taxes with this company, he never made me feel like I was pushing me to go with community taxes. The customer service was top tier, if you have complex tax issues I would recommend them. My situation unfortunately didn't need all of the services. I never experienced and of the negative aspects of some of the reviews you see online about them, so I would say, take them with a grain of salt.

Due to a personal family tragedy, I found myself owing the IRS an extremely large amount covering 2 tax years. Community Tax (CT) was chosen to help me based solely on the reviews I read. I found that their reviews didn’t tell half the story and they brought me a resolution never dreamed of and now the IRS doesn’t seem like the threat they once were at the beginning of the process. If I could give them zero stars I would. I paid $350 to have them investigate a tax problem. They came back with information I already knew and already told them about and then said they can't help with a civil penalty assessment. He then wanted to know if I wanted to pay him more to set up a payment plan. I didn't think it was worth my time to take them to small claims to recover the money paid for information I already knew and already told them about.

I have been with community tax over a decade. Outstanding service always on top of everything. Excellent practitioners, as well as tax attorneys. That always have your back.
