I have banked with them for several years, it helped me through set up an account for an estate, very easy to work with
Possibly the worst bank in the state. They constantly have problems with double charges which causes me to go with out money until they figure it out. God forbid if the double charges cause me to go negative. Dealing with their customer service is a nightmare, either I get someone from another country with an accent so thick I can’t understand or they are not knowledgeable about their position and its responsibilities. Friendly place
I use the Johnston branch but often reach someone at Ankeny branch if I reach out by phone. I have been with CSB for more than a decade and have only had great experiences!
Unfortunately after being a customer of Community State Bank since 1997 I tried to do a home mortgage with them. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. In the last 25yrs I have purchased 7 homes. 4 rental properties and 3 that I have lived in. I have a pretty good idea on how this should go. I can’t stress to you enough to go somewhere else.
