The Law Society of Ontario (LSO) is failing to ensure transparency among lawyers and paralegals, severely undermining access to justice. My experience with legal professionals at the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO), Community Legal Assistance of Windsor (CLAW), Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation (WECHC), Human Rights Legal Support Centre (HRLSC), Landlord and Tenant Board (LTB) duty counsel, and Pro Bono Ontario reveals a systemic issue: many hide their identities or provide incomplete credentials, making it... read more

l am currently a high school co-op student at CLA and have had a very positive experience! The staff are welcoming, passionate, and truly committed to their clients. CLA provides legal help to low-income residents of Windsor-Essex and University of Windsor undergraduates who meet Legal Aid Ontario's financial eligibility. They also assist clients on programs like ODSP, OW, and CPP. Through my placement, l've learned a lot about professionalism, client service, and community legal support. I'm grateful for the opportunity and... read more
Not very good service at all! Student lawyers don't contact you back. When you call it just rings to voicemail, they don't anwser their phones. I need legal advice on how to move forward with important matters.. if anyone has issues with contacting them I would suggest to go to their office where they operate everyday. Very incompetent.
I am extremely disappointed with the service and communication at the Legal Aid Community Center. The service was very bad, and the staff seemed uninterested in actually helping. Communication was lacking and unresponsive, making it difficult to get any real assistance. Additionally, the entire process was painfully slow, leaving me frustrated and without the support I needed. I cannot recommend their services based on my experience.
