I just had a conversation with Alan M. with community bank of Indianola to consider a home improvement loan. First, I felt he was condescending with the requirements for a new loan (one paid off, a second less than 60 days to pay off). He had not reviewed my file before calling me. I have paid $1,500 a month for the last year. He never acknowledged my input, stating I paid $400, then $700 and then $1,400. I am sure this would have been handled differently if I were white.
