Have been with this bank for nearly 45 years and have always been treated well. Employees are so friendly and courteous. They quickly helped us a couple of times when scammers tried to use our account to buy expensive items. The ladies saw the unusual withdrawal requests and called us quickly to make sure it wasn't us. The matters were cleared up and the scammers were even caught so no one else was scammed. It's nice having that small town trust and caring individuals in the bank that we trust. UPDATED [04/2024] Our local branches in Elgin and La Grande are both wonderful. I did NOT change my 4-star rating, but please see below for a troubling update. I've been a member more than 10 years. I've never had ANY trouble with the people in the Elgin Oregon branch, nor in La Grande Oregon. That said, the the 'main office' elected to begin charging a $5.00 dollar fee to cash checks if you do not have an account with them. On the surface that might seem like small potatoes, but for anyone who isn't wealthy, it's miserable.... read more
