Beyond Legal Aid is an invaluable resource for our organization and the Little Village community. Their empathetic and creative lawyers and staff have worked with us on numerous tenants’ rights cases, helping tenants retain their housing and winning judgments against abusive landlords. They have also helped equip our team to support community members through systematic answering of our questions and concerns, so that we can use the law to benefit community residents.
Beyond Legal Aid understands how to best work with community members resisting eviction, deportation, wage theft, and more. Their model of community lawyering has been so beneficial to provide systematic support to so many vulnerable communities. I highly recommend them and trust them with my community members.
