Commerce Bank is bad for students, with no way to prevent massive fees for overdraft other than qualifying for their credit card and the hidden fees that they'll sign you up for if you apply on campus it's a toxic place to keep your money. The assistant manager of the KU branch was rude on the phone and I"m glad to close my account and bank elsewhere.
Great bank for students, no minimum amount fees, no account opening fees. Switched to commerce after moving to Lawrence for KU and it was a great decision.
The blonde who works at the front counter is incredibly rude. She would barely help me and acted like she’d rather be doing anything else but that. I have been in multiple times and had to unfortunately deal with her. Because of the several unpleasant encounters I’ve had at this branch and with this woman, I am changing banks. Commerce needs to look into the attitude of their employees. They shouldn’t have bitchy employees as the face of their company.
