We had an absolute wonderful experience working with Columbia Scuba. I got my 10 year old open water certified through them. We came into the shop and Lawrence the owner spoke with me and my son for close to an hour. He brought out some gear and let him try it on. He allowed him to breath though a regulator and spoke with us extensively about the process. The team there was very patient with my son and made him feel very comfortable the whole time. My husband and I got our open water certification with Columbia Scuba before our recent trip to Jamaica and I am so glad we decided to certify with them instead of going the resort certification route! I feel like the knowledge and skills we brought with us far surpassed those of the newly certified divers we dove along side. Not to mention all of the Columbia Scuba staff were amazing! Update: I was able to have the pleasure of now getting my AOW with Columbia Scuba with Lawrence teaching. Going through this course after also doing some dives before hand I truly found myself way more comfortable then first starting. I truly enjoy learning from everyone at Columbia Scuba and being able to expand my knowledge in this new skill. Columbia Scuba gave my daughter the confidence she needed to grow into a strong young woman. The team encouraged and included her along every step of the certification journey.
