I have been banking with Columbia Bank for 25+ years. When I originally started banking with them it was under a different name. My personal experience from my orginal branch in Mcminnville, Oregon to now over last almost 5 years in Nampa or Caldwell, ID has been great too. The people have always been helpful. This bank gave a preapproval to the buyers of my listing in Idaho with an appraisal waiver, We took the deal forward based on this information. Mid-stream, Columbia Bank decided last minute they needed an appraisal, but no one ever informed me of the changes. The appraisal wasn't done until 6 days before closing. The day before closing I find out they haven't issued the CD and the buyers can't sign until three days later on a Friday. They racially profiled me as soon as I walked in the door even though I presented the assistant branch manger with all my cards and she look at my check like it was fake. Ftputa
I'm not sure who gave this awful bank 5 stars. They definitely do NOT understand what they are doing. More than 3 months ago me and my husband went to Columbia bank to open a new account because they promised $200 to be deposited to our accounts after 3 months. Right now when I'm calling them they just simply say you gotta wait another 3 months. They are the biggest liars I've ever seen. They just fool people to receive money.
