This is THE place for fly fishing equipment and education! It's a must visit. They also stock my maps: The Portage Lake Chain, Pinckney, Michigan The Hi-land Lake and Halfmoon Lake Chain, Hell, Michigan
Absolutely the best fly fishing shop in mid-Michigan by far. The service and pricing is excellent. I went there for a lesson and it was well well worth the money. Great selection of equipment as well as great customer service. Thanks guys!
Great classic high-end outfitter with quality goods and knowledgeable staff who are fun to work with, learn from, and buy from. Nicest inventory of apparel and gear anywhere you'll find. Run by a great team including the guy who WROTE THE BOOK on flyfishing in southeast Michigan. "You can go with the guy who wrote the book, or the guy who read the book: your call," (name withheld by request).
Not a very good fly shop i didnt like colton bay, if you want a really good fly shop in the area go to Schultz Outfitters in Ypsilanti,MI. Schultz Outfitters has everything you could want and if they dont have it they can get it to you. Also have the best most knowledgeable guides in the State.
If you love fly-fishing, Colton Bay is the place to go in Southeast Michigan! John Davis went out of his way to find me a Simms windbreaker that I could use not only while fly fishing in the spring and fall, but also on the golf course. What a great store!
