Bought a custom car from the owner a while back. Paid above its value because I was told it was perfect. The car broke down on the way home and needed $9k in repairs to a cracked frame that was painted over. Car had to be disassembled up front, frame had to be repaired and repainted then reassembled. He answered his phone every time I called when I was buying the car and NEVER answered my calls afterwards. I left messages for 3 MONTHS! Finally sold the car and took a $12,000.00 loss.
