Horrible!!!! Client moving from NC to FL that had a contract for a specific date 3 days ahead of closing. They came a month early. Starting calling them, once we got the dates straight, 3 days ahead of closing and they inform my client that they don't have movers in the area and it will be the first of the month before they can send anyone!!! DO NOT USE COLONIAL VANLINES!! Lying, deceit, tardiness, and more. This company should not be allowed to conduct business. They are unethical and think itâs ok to lie to their customers. At every instance in this process, they were late and underperformed as to what was promised. Please save your family the emotional and financial hardship from dealing with this awful company. WORST COMPANY EVER!! Lied and said they owned their own trucks and fleet and didnt broker out jobs- when in reality they do. Never told me my things would be picked up by a completely different moving company and that they would then move my things to a storage unit and then to the truck that was actually taking my things and then again into my new place- thats 4 times my things unnecessarily had to be moved and transported causing damage to my things. Worst experience - estimate based on actual dimensions and full inventory, then overcharged me later. Got my stuff 8 days AFTER the delivery window. Still insisted I pay extra for a long carry that they knew about the whole time. Too many things damaged - still need to get myself to write up the claim its so depressing. STAY AWAY!
