At the recent Buffalo Maritime Festival held earlier this autumn, the public was given the rare opportunity to enter and tour this hidden historical gem, a wonderful example of industry during the gilded age. This is a unique facility with historic steam-driven water pumps that are sincerely massive in size. While not open to the public, if you are able to catch a tour of the facility, I highly recommend you do it. It is a sight to behold of the industrial age.
