My parents have been at Collington for a few years now. Started out pristine and perfect. My dad is in memory care now and the facilities are very run down and depressing. The room just next to the TV area has wall paper peeling. This is very unattractive. You should not be adding on when you need to repair, fix, make better the currant residencies and common rooms. Is deep cleaning a thing of the past? Buyer beware!!!
Having recently spent more than 3 weeks in respite here at collington, I found the care and concern provided by the staff to be wonderful. Whether interacting with the medical & nursing staff or the aides who always provided thoughtful and through support; or the dining group who enabled residents to select their custom meals days in advance; interacting with the housekeeping staff who thoroughly cleaned the facilities each day; or the personal laundry
Don't die here. Loved one has been dead for over a week and we can't get a death certificate. Just ridiculous.
My sister and I toured Collington a few years ago for our parents, and it seemed very nice. However, at that time, we decided to go with a 55+ community. Fast forward a few years, my dad my dad had a stroke and needed rehab. The Collington nurse rejected him, stating that his needs were too complicated (despite the fact that he was ambulating and able to perform ADL's).
