I have been visiting this pawn shop since I was young. Gary is a great guy, and I've always enjoyed talking to him whenever I can make it to the pawn shop. If you're in the outer banks, definitely stop by this shop. Even if you don't buy anything, it will be worth the experience.
My experience with Gary, the owner of Colington Pawn, spans many years. I have attempted to do business with him on several occasions throughout the past 25yrs. After my last encounter with Gary, I surely won't step foot in his pawn shop again. After researching the daily price of gold I took about 1.5 oz of 18 carat gold to sell. I'd agree, money can be the root of all evil.. but seems there all are like that on the Bank's ' 'and yes I'm a christian.. and a native with my roots from the beginning. . Sad but true.. wolves can be in sheep's clothing, but who am I' to judge,? so just go to VA. more stores and so... more fair prices.. but I'l admit once I'v been in there, sooo.
