We have really enjoyed our time at Code Ninjas in Fairfax. I have had kids in each of their programs and taken camps. There are some times, sensei, and classes that are more focused on the program and learning, and others that are too distracting for my kids to progress through their belts. The Create program is excellent for discovering and learning to code at the child's own pace. Skills learned are applicable to many programing and coding tasks beyond creating games. I'm writing this review a bit late but my son still can't get over how much he learned at code ninjas. He had a great time during the camps and learned something new every day he was there. He also loved his senseis while he was there Nick, Ebenezer, and Anderson
This Code Ninjas has some notable weaknesses. They seem to be short-staffed, and the sensei personnel changed on a daily basis. Some do not even greet the parents as they arrive. The class my son took was advertised to teach lego robotics, which they did about two days of the five. Otherwise kids just played games on screens. At the Burke location they actually receive instruction. This location did not seem to have a policy or familiarity with epi-pen's either. They had no emergency form.
