Moving company quote jumped from $4500 to $11800 due to "added items" that the original salesman failed to put in the estimate. Called them Friday to see if they could do an across town move Saturday. We told yes. Told them a few of the items I needed moved and told them plus more. Was never asked about items. Was quoted just under $2500. Took a $1100+ deposit. Told they would call by 9am sat to give me detail. Nothing by 930. I call them, finally get through and I'm told that I'm not scheduled for sat, I'm scheduled for Sunday cause they couldn't get to me. After some back and forth they at they will call back. We were quoted $5000 for our move but at delivery the total cost was $10,500, not counting the storage fees paid. Also, our new flooring that had been finished the day before was damaged, which a mover told us about it but have never been compensated even after numerous calls and emails. We were very disappointed.
This is the worst mistake you can possibly make looking for movers. The initial call is so welcoming and accommodating for when you need your things and what you need done. Clear and cut on cost and packaging. Told they will package TVs and have my bike in a crate on the truck. And told they will get my things the 21st so we will definitely receive our things by the 28th. HOWEVER they just never showed up the 21st, then showed up 4 in the afternoon the next day. I just called to get a quotation and the guy who answered was very pushy and threatening. Just by their attitude, I would not go with this company.
