Created this account because I was sick of bank fees. HUGE REGRET. Be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes in line each visit - they only ever have 1 teller working. Management is awful - they sent us $5 Tim Horton's gift cards because they messed up our account so much/often. Worst service - worst attitudes - very limited access to your own money. Bank elsewhere!!
I recently visited Coast Capital with the intention of opening a bank account. While the representative I met with was polite, his opening remark — “you could’ve just done this online” — set an unnecessarily dismissive tone for the interaction. After seven minutes of silence, he then informed me that what I had completed was merely an “application” for an account, and that if approved, a debit card would be mailed to me in several weeks. DO NOT use this bank your money is not safe!!!! if you get frauded your SOL.... can't believed their customer service couldn't get a hold of the kelowna branch always got a third party, how are they allowed to hold people's money when they can't keep it safe?!?!?!? such a joke, guess I'll be getting my a lawyer involved
