Overall coast capital is a very frustrating institution to bank with, especially how their online banking app and website often seems to be down for one reason or another. I’d suggest considering literally anywhere else, because it’s so inconvenient and SO ANNOYING.

I'm not happy with this banking institution at all. And it's very unfortunate because I've been banking with them for many years. I was scheduled 3x to come to this branch just to be told to come back and still did not get the information or update on a banking info. request. At the end of all the back and forth emails and after 3 scheduled appointments, I was sent to the Sidney branch. I was a member for close to 30 years with the Pacific Coast merg. Moved east where credit unions arent really available. Dormant account with a large line of credit. Basically ruined my life over $30 they never notified me about. Dropped 200 points in credit from near perfect. Zero customer care or consideration. Stay away!

The website interface is terrible,The phone app works half the time, And you're now charging service fees on checking accounts???

Unfortunately I have to use Coast Capital for my mother as it's her accounts and funds but I manage it as power of attorney, if it weren't such a pain in the butt I would pull everything and change everything to another financial institution the service is spotty at best you can't get a hold of the branches, app has glitches all the time and nobody seems to know how to help you, God help you trying to call them the wait times are ridiculous ,not to mention there's a woman in the Royal Oak branch who actually took apart The P... read more
