Probate was granted over a month ago for my mothers estate but coop have failed miserably to communicate effectively with her bank and we are still waiting for the inheritance to be dealt with. I have complained by email and although i have been very polite, they have now blocked me. I can only think that it is the co ops policy to sit on the money in their client account for as long as possible while earning lots of interest. I would recommend never to use them 👎
Co-op Legal Services have been tasked with looking after my stepfathers probate. They have been awful to deal with and do not recommend at all. We have had 6 or 7 people dealing with it and to get any information has been appalling. We were originally told it would be up to 20 weeks after registration with the probate registry. 24 weeks later I find out this hadn’t been done but it has now and will take approximately 20 weeks!!!! Appalling service from start to finish. Lengthy delays and confusion in sending out Power of Attorney forms. Process still not complete and started in August!! Spelling mistakes on every set of documents sent out. Even the final draft had the same mistake we had notified previously which had not been rectified. For a legal company charging for a professional service this is not acceptable!!! Please do not use this company.
We signed up in September for full probate service at £11k first contact was good but since then rubbish. E mails not answered and despite asking a week ago no idea if probate has been applied for as no response. Would suggest better using local solicitor even if more expensive.
Useless company. Trying to get a simple will written for my parents. First appointment they send an email as 'confirmation' but then if you don't text them back they cancel your appointment. Second appointment they didn't mention that no one apart from the will writers can be on the call. My parents are elderly so I helped to log them onto the video call but then we were told that just our presence on the video meant we were pressuring our parents to write a will! WHAT THE HELL?!
