Went in today to buy some replacement brake pads. Service was great and they even told me I could potentially restore my glazed pads. Always good get the best advice not just what they can sell. Still got the pads as it was the best option for me. Thanks a lot, made this issue so much easier to deal with.
I brought my bike in for a rear shifting problem and specifically asked whether the derailleur hanger might be bent. I was told it was fine. I was charged for the service, but the issue was not resolved, and I was advised to have the shifter repaired. A second shop found a bent hanger and fixed the problem right away. I'm not saying one shop is better than another, as mechanics can differ in their diagnoses. Still, if a straightforward issue couldn't be resolved, I'd be hesitant to trust them with more complex repairs. I did... read more
