Shopping there today. We are new to fishing. The gentleman that was working this afternoon, was not at all interested in talking about fishing, giving tips on lures, or fishing in the area. We would have spent a lot more money, had he engaged. He was more interested in the woman that came in to "give him a facelift" unsure what that meant. But it was approximately 2 ish pm. Friday. He actually really disappointed me in his lack of customer service.
What a great find! Didnt even expect to find a flyshop but Im so glad I went in. Had a great chat with the owner and Ill be coming baack often to get my supplies!
Great place to get gear when in a pinch, we came out to Colorado for the first time a little unprepared and the gentleman at the counter was very helpful getting us ready for the rest of the trip. We got 2 pairs of micro spikes which were a game changer, thank you Clear Creek!!!
Clear Creek Outdoors is a small shop, but I actually liked the inventory and found several items I was ready to buy. Unfortunately, the experience at the counter really hurt the visit. The man working had zero personality, and it was very obvious that kids were not welcome in the store, which made things uncomfortable. Because of that, we ended up leaving—too bad, because it probably cost the store $400–$500 in sales, and there were no other customers at the time.
