Parked their our van and 10 seconds after arrival the owner of the store came out and was the most unfriendly Canadian we met in 8 weeks (normally Canadians are unbelievable friendly ).

The more people who use this hidden resource the better it will be. Parking has always been a problem but head down to Hecate Park. It's a short walk to Classic Marine and you have the added bonus of enjoying the ambience of Cowichan Bay.
Friendly and welcoming. I walked into the store in August and was pleased to meet the new owner. Very positive attitude.
