I’m pretty sure I was sold a floor sample mattress as a new one. The first time I looked at mattresses I was told they were made to order. I went back a few days later with my husband and picked out one. They weren’t in stock so they ordered it. My husband was home for the delivery. The mattress was not in plastic but the box springs was. He asked why it didn’t have plastic. He was told they took it off to inspect it.
