I'd like to share a little story. 2 years ago, my iPad battery just would not hold a charge. I called Clark's (having never been here before) and told him what was happening and asked how much it would cost to replace the battery. He gave me a quote, but then asked me if I performed an update recently. I said that I hadn't done so in over a year. He told me to do that first, then bring it in if it still persisted.
