Been here twice for jury duty. It’s not bad. You get $30 - enough to cover lunch and have some change. Not much, but I never complain about a free meal! Pitamore and David and Dads are good lunch options nearby. Beautiful building, but poorly maintained. Restrooms are clean in some rooms, but not in others or will have flickering bulbs. Plan to bring water and refill it at a water cooler, and fountains are -still- out of service. The vending machines do not have water, but there are a good variety of snacks. Jury staff very rude on the phone for no reason. I had a few questions and asked with a very positive and friendly demeanor. Almost like they’ve forgotten they are there to serve the public.

Here is my run down for this place for anyone going for wedding related items: Parking is at the Calvert Street Garage across the street. They only accept cash and they don’t always have change, the marriage license is $85 and $5.50 for a certified copy if you already have a license. Bring cash and exact change if possible this will speed everything up for you. For a marriage license you need a valid form of ID for each person. The marriage license office is on the sixth floor room 627.

Too many of the employees here act like you’re a moron if you didn’t come out of the womb understanding their bungled processes. I got two jury duty summonses for two different dates that were only a couple of weeks apart. When I called the courthouse to ask which one I should go to, the person on the phone acted outraged that I didn’t know.
