This office sent 2 of my properties to auction after being only one year passed due on taxes and didn't even notify me. One of my tenants was sent a letter. I ended up having to pay 3500 dollars then the very next year sent me to collections and now they are trying to charge me again for taxes I already paid. Arrogant and incompetent. They rarely ever will answer the phone. We need a new treasurer voted in.
It’s pretty pathetic that you have to call and leave a message for a callback, and can’t directly speak to anyone when you call the office. The message tells you that they will return your call within the business day. There is absolutely NO WAY you are that busy! PERIOD!! This is simply an arrogant form of control that our fragrance free, self righteous, self proclaimed “honorable” treasurer needs, in order to feel relevant and significant. Stop kidnapping the ducks from the park and open up some phone lines.
Worst place to deal with. I believe a time for change needs to come.
My wife called about appealing our assessment a while back. A nasty, rude "public servant" told us the deadline for appeals had passed and that "we should have known". Maybe we should have but couldn't she relay that to us in a normal tone of voice?
Can never get ahold of this place , always sent to voicemail, what a joke.
