Less painful than I thougth it would be. – I swore I would never go to a sports store like this and pay way more for a pair of sneakers than what I should pay for sneakers. I have to say, it was worth the visit. They had me walk up and down the isle to determine what type of "walker" I was. They selected a pair of shoes they felt would be a good match for me.
