worst buisness ever..i use to be an employee there for about a year...needless to say i'm no longer working there...they're very unprofessional in dealing with customers and their workers,it was a very hostile environment to be in,not to mention there were alot of times more than none,where they would order the wrong furniture for customers, they would have me and the warehouse manager mustafa deliver the furniture anyways and come to find out the customer would say i never ordered this color or this style,,they would have t... read more
Stay away, don't do business with them. Their philosophy is that the customer is always wrong. How many things are wrong: 1) they overcharged my credit card and refused to refund the incorrect amount 2) partially delivered my order but (over-) charged me for the rest of the order but never delivered it 3) never communicated any status on my order, even after multiple emails and stopping by the store multiple times. Great value and selection – I just moved to Boston for a new job. The modern furniture stores here are way over priced, but then I found this beautiful contemporary furniture store in Harvard Square. I got everything I needed, Italsofa, Calligaris dining set and Modloft bed, all within my budget. And Maria is very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience!
High Quality Modern Furniture – They sell beautiful Italian sofas - you should see the Natuzzi sofas. I bought a Natuzzi leather sofa from them and they have a huge variety of colors to choose from. I found one that matches my drapes which are also from Italy. It takes a few months to get the sofa, but it's worth the wait. All my friends love it.
Great quality items, pleasant staff – We purchased a Natuzzi leather sectional from the City Schemes in Cambridge, MA. We had to wait longer than expected. However, it was worth the wait. The item arrived directly from Italy in perfect condition. The sofa is absolutely gorgeous. Everybody loves it. Also, the store manager Irina was wonderful. She is very helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. The delivery people were very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional.
One of a kind service – i bought a natuzzi sofa and was delivered within 3 days.that is just very good service and delivery.They offer one of a kind styles. I am definetly buying there again!
City Schemes defective merchandise – I bought a leather and chrome Wassily Chair from City Schemes 2 years ago. The leather back strap recently came off the chrome frame, while I was sitting in it, making it unusable. The stitches did not come undone, but the leather ripped near the seam. The material is also ripping on other parts of the chair. The leather material is not repairable and if the material was leather it would not have ripped. I had pretty good experiences and good deals – For interesting furniture, eg european, then this is one of few places in boston you get get it without paying $$$s. Bought nice dining table, sectional couch - from cambridge & Rt 1 store, staff good, and delivery was on time as scheduled, no damage. Delivery guys on time and assembled everything. I will buy from them again.
City Scheme Does Not Get the Job Done – The sales people were unusually rude in the Cambridge store. I managed to speak to the owner to complain and he seemed genuinely concerned. I bought a substanial amount of furniture from them (after finding one nice salesman), paid $150 for delivery and was told the night before the delivery that they couldn't do it as scheduled. When the furniture did arrive it was damaged. I would not recommend City Schemes. It could not be a worse experience from soup to nuts.
