If it wasn't free, it would get 2 or 3 stars. Sites are very close. Most people there seem to be permanent or workers. We were lucky to get a site. But you can't beat FHU for 1 night for free. Lot of ball diamonds and a rodeo arena. Walking path around park.

Update April 17, 2025-What a difference since the last time we traveled through Texas. There must be a big construction project in the area. Every single one of the 36 sites was full. It appeared to be folks staying long-term. We headed 33 miles east to the Throckmorton City RV Park, where we were the only RV staying there. November 6, 2023-"Welcome, Haskell RV Park, free overnight parking, stay longer $20 per night, come by city hall or use lock box."
