I went into the store yesterday to purchase a bikini for my upcoming overseas trip on my day off. I went to the counter to purchase and met with attitude immediately. I decided to buy a set as it was buy one get one 50% off on full price items. I questioned the worker regarding the sale after she put through the payment as full price. She replied saying it was members only and there was a barcode that was sent out via email. Customer service was very poor and extremely slow. I waited 30 minutes to be served. There were two staff members at the counter, but only one was assisting customers. The staff member serving was slow and distracted by chatting with the other employee. Prices are expensive, and the discount codes never seem to work. I would recommend going to DFO stores instead.
Walked past city beach this morning to see a sign celebrating 'Australia Day'. I am disgusted in the absolute ignorance of the company, knowing this day is harmful to so many people in our community and using it as a marketing tool. Do better or get out.
I tried to return a shirt that was an inferior product at the Indooroopilly store. The shirt was complete with the receipt and the shirt tag. i just wanted to exchange it for another shirt and pay extra if the shirt cost more than the original cost. It was declined.....The young lady that served me was determined not to let me have another shirt. So i left the inferior shirt with her. My partner and I went to City Beach Indooroopilly today to exchange some shoes bought as a Christmas gift. They were purchased at the Carindale store, but we thought given it was still City Beach, that wouldn't be a problem. We were wrong. First we were told in no uncertain terms that City Beach only deal in American sizes, like who cares, we just needed the next size up.
