Arrived around 10:30 . No one was in the bank. Walked up to counter. Teller advised to give him a moment. He was also working drive through. I chatted with Security for about 10 minutes. A couple walked in they waited 10 minutes to be assisted. After another lady signed to close her account. I signed in as well since teller never acknowledged me when he was finished. I had an exceptional experience, at this branch, today. They were able to accommodate me, even while dealing with an exceptional circumstance of their own. This branch is often given a bad rap, but they shined, today!
I would have left one star if it weren’t for customer service—that’s the only positive. If you own a business, I do not recommend opening an account here unless you “know someone who knows someone.” This experience has been highly disappointing. People say most businesses don’t last a year, and sometimes it’s not because the business is a bad idea it’s because owners don’t have the right tools and support. I see that many people have had favorable experiences at the Rockbridge Rd location; unfortunately, I have not. It has been my experience that the basic customer service skills are subpar at Rockbridge except for the fair skin, female teller with short hair. She's always the one greeting me as I enter, greeting me as I go and attentive and engaging during the transaction.
