It is pretty sad that a bank can't break a $100 bill without a account. I can understand a check, because they might not have an avenue to recover cash paid out on a bad check. But do they not trust the federal government? This is part of the reason I won't bank with them anymore.
It's pretty bad when you take a companies Citizens Bank check to a Citizens Bank, and they, Citizens Bank, will not cash their own check! VERY bad customer service and customer relations management! Why would you not cash a check that is your own banks check???? As long as someone has valid proof of identification and you can validate the check, there should be NO Problems. A person should NOT have to have an account with your bank to cash a check from your bank. Very SAD that Citizens Bank operates like this.
Spoke with the supposed manager KIM A LYNN NMLS ID #916316 who was supposed to help me instead she judged me based on appearance and assumed money wasn't mine and was fraudulent. She didn't elaborate on something I was confused about didn't offer to help. She rudely said "I don't think you'd miss this much money for this long and not do anything about it" when that's exactly my issue but saying it as if there's no reason for my visit or that I wasn't handling it her way I wasn't doing anything.
