I bought 2 pair of Citizen's of Humanity Emannuelle jeans (the 'Montauk' wash), in my usual size. I do not wear jeans skin tight. They are relaxed fitting. I own this style in other washes and they've held up well. Within 3 wearings, the first pair of COH Montauk wash jeans tore out at the crotch. The store would not take them back. Within 6 wearings, the other pair tore out in the exact same place. This has never happened to me before with jeans. I held them up to the light and you can practically see right through the fabr... read more
Do not buy these! – These are not worth the $180 price tag. Within three months of buying these jeans, there was a nice-sized rip near the crotch. This is the second pair of Citizens jeans this has happened to. I don't wash them frequently, but I do wear them 2 maybe three times a week. I have other high-end jeans which I wear about the same frequency and they are still holding up.

(By the way, I wasn't doing any strenuous activity, and they didn't fit particularly tightly). Anyway, I got lucky and Bloomingdale's gave m... read more
Poor Quality – I purchased a pair of Citizens of Humanity jeans from Saks Fifth Avenue. After having used them only a few times a hole about 1.5" appeared in the back under the belt line. At first I let that go as I figured the style of these jeans had the "worn in" look and already had a few rips built in as a design element - Plus, I figured I could bring it in somewhere to have it repaired easily enough. However, one month later another hole appeared while I was out, someone had to tell me I had a huge rip below my butt!!... read more
Extremely fragile =( – I've always found my best pairs of jeans to be the cheap finds at Ross or Marshalls- so when my boyfriend wanted to get me a pair of designer jeans for Christmas, I thought "wow, these will be way better fitting and in quality than my 14.99$ Ross jeans!".... I found the perfect pair of jeans at Macy's- a pair of low rise Citizens of Humanity jeans. And after spending 236$ on them, I took them to the Macy's tailor to be hemmed to my leg length- as soon as I pulled my newly purchased jeans up, they rippe... read more
