I opened my first bank account 73 years ago in Los Angeles. I have had experiences with many different banks and I have N-E-V-E-R had such perfect customer service as I've enjoyed at the Encinitas branch of Citibank! They truly set the bar at a level not seen by any company. Nordstrom's used to be the gold level; if there is a platinum level, this bank and all the employees earn that distinction. I don't use my account here much, just mainly to make my citi card payments as needed, i guess my checking account had went negative $10 due to $5 monthly fees x2 months and I didnt know. So when I came in to make my credit card payment Leona told me my account had been closed two days prior and she couldnt help me and proceeded to tell me I should maybe go open an account at a different bank. Come to find out all I needed to do was sit with a banker and reopen the account. She was eager to dismiss me, not offer any solution... read more
