The Citibank branch at 352 H st in Chula Vista exemplifies banking at its worst. After a 25-minute wait, teller sneered "You should know how deposits work" when I inquired about their inconsistent check-clearing policies. Some checks clear in 24 hours, others inexplicably take 5+ days—a practice they refuse to explain. Terrible place to visit. Tellers are not friendly, ATMs at this location sometimes have glitches. Like the indoor ATM sometimes it will not accept cash for payment, only a check. who carries a checkbook these days? The outdoor ATM also from time to time does not work at all. I'm thinking of closing my accounts with Citi. with such awful customer service.
This review is unique to this specific location, and in particular the manager and a Personal banker named Yessenia. I went in to open a checking account, and was fed inaccurate information on multiple fronts from Yessenia. It was clear she either Was intentionally trying to prevent me from using Citi bonus offers for opening a new checking account , or she is completely out of touch with what is allowed per Citi Bank policies. I had a terrible experience with this bank. I came to open ONE account and, without my consent, they opened TWO. On top of that, they misspelled my name on all my documents and my card. I had to come back FIVE times for them to fix their mistakes and close the account I never asked for. After just three or four months, they closed my account without giving me any explanation.
