I visited the branch today. The first teller I approached wasn’t helping any customers at the time, yet she asked me to wait. The way she spoke to me felt very informal and unprofessional. She appeared to be a woman in her mid-40s, possibly South Asian. A few moments later, another teller with curly hair noticed me and came over to help. I had a disappointing experience at this CIBC branch while completing a few regular monthly transactions. The staff member assisting me, Yaye, repeatedly asked me to move to another counter while I was writing down the required transaction details, and then asked me to return. I was the only customer in the branch at the time, there was no lineup, and the entire visit lasted approximately seven minutes.
