Never get a mortgage with CIBC, especially anyone in a small town. I'd love to give CIBC 0 stars and wish this would show up for all their branches. My late-father had a mortgage with CIBC. The home was in St. Paul. I was unable to get any assistance from the mortgage specialist he worked with despite escalations to their managers, I was told no one was going to look at my executor papers (no will in place, but courts finalized my executorship), and I was passed around so many times. If you need help with investments, Zeel Shah is amazing! I have never had someone at CIBC explain the accounts so clearly in terms I could understand (or explain them at all). I feel so much more knowledgeable and have so much trust in her. She needs a raise or promotion! She answers all my questions in amazing detail and if she doesn't know, she finds out. She stays in touch and makes sure I feel comfortable with what's happening with my money. Hands down best person I've dealt with so far.

I don’t think I can sufficiently express just how pleased and impressed I was by Abdul. He is amazing. After being shuffled between 3 different reps over the phone and not getting my issue addressed, Abdul came through. He listened to my problem patiently and dealt with my issue quickly and completely. Talking to him was a real pleasure. No scripted empathy, just a real guy showing an earnest desire to help.
