the West Branch in CIBC I never saw it like this Branch especially the lady she's a supervisor in that day manager clint advice
Extremely disappointing experience at this branch. The tellers were eating and chatting at the counter, with no smile or welcoming attitude. Not just one day that I noticed. A proper greeting and good customer service are the basic expectations from frontline staff, as they represent the face of the brand. Unfortunately, they also appeared quite incompetent and lacked knowledge.
UPDATE FEB. 2026: Here is information for anyone who is proactively looking ahead by working now or thinking about estates issues once someone dies, yourself included. CIBC keeps customers' information on computer file for seven years. Not even the Estates Dept. at CIBC would be able to access any account information prior to 7 years ago. So, if you had set up CIBC joint ownership account(s) with someone before the current 7-year period, I hope that you had kept copies in your files of the signed documentation as proof. I was pleasantly surprised to get assistance from Ms. Sanminder today at this bank. She is an amazing human being and the ideal officer for her role. . As soon as she recognized that I needed help, she took the initiative and greeted me with a smile, which made me feel comfortable. She prioritized my needs and I could see that and as a customer, I really felt valued. CIBC has done well by selecting her for this role. I wish a wonderful life for her.
