The worst of the worst. I sent a wire transfer to my cibc bank account and it got sent back (minus 40 dollars). I spent two days trying to find someone to tell me what went wrong. Nothing! No help from anyone on a simple wire transfer. After nearly 60 years banking with them I closed the account. They couldn't care less. If you're looking for a bank that has your best interests at heart..... keep looking. You won't find that at cibc!

Closed, does not have ATM
The absolute worst banking experience of my life. They locked my card that was already active because I didn't have ID on file, over 1hr on hold for them to tell me they couldnt do anything over the phone and I would have to go to a branch in person, left work early to get to a branch before they closed & the branch couldnt reactivate the card. Another 1hr on hold to be told I have to speak to a different agent after activating the card for an increase and yet again another 1hr on hold just to close the account, they wouldnt... read more
