Spend 2 hours at the branch sorting one credit card. Specifically, I said I didn't want the bank to do a credit score check so it wouldn't drop. I was assured that the drop would be just a few points (no big deal). The score dropped 75 points with only one inquiry. And my credit card was declined. So, 2 hours spent at the branch. Minus 75 points on my credit score. No credit card. Great outcome. Tried to call to talk with financial advisor as they changed the new person, but could not reach her. I left a message to the bank teller, and they promised to call me back for my investment fund transfer. Never receive the call, and when I tried to recall many times. No one pickup the phone. Bad service.

There seems to be zero accountability at this branch. I seriously doubt that anyone at CIBC even reads these reviews. We met with a Service Rep to start the process to transition our late father's bank account 3 months ago. I called and emailed several times to follow up. No response.
