I had a bad experience at this CIBC branch. I asked Katherine, one of the tellers, to deposit my cheque. She told me it would take 5 business days to process, even though when I go to other branches they ALWAYS do it for me right away. If I wanted to wait 5 days, why would I go to a CIBC branch in person? I could simply deposit it through the app. This branch was very disappointing.
Poor customer service, often drives clients away from the branch, resulting in zero satisfaction with their service. Opened a business account, signed documents in person, and until this date it has been activated.
Given the general negative feedback of most bank branches, I was not expecting anything when I visited Kerrisdale branch. However, in surprise, the lady who helped me in the first place went above and beyond and connected me to different people at the bank trying to help me resolve a problem. Everyone that I talk to was super helpful. Keep it up!
I have visited this branch multiple times, and most of the staff members have always been warm-hearted, professional, and helpful. However, I had a very disappointing experience with a senior employee, Jason Wang. During my visit, he was unprofessional and rude. He repeatedly interrupted me, assuming he already understood my needs, and displayed a dismissive attitude when my request appeared to be beyond his control. Terrible service. I’m with imperial service Elan Zhang. My information was stolen from me and the scammers called CIBC (apparently their voice recognition system didn’t recognize it wasn’t my voice). They successfully gained access to my account by calling CIBC and I lost around 16k CAD. I’ve texted and called her about this and received zero response. Zero action from CIBC team. I’ve heard plenty of similar stories where clients of CIBC banking services would just be ignored for days on both big and small matters
