Do not bank at CIBC they are by far the worst bank, Scott st location does not even have a ATM to use, instead of hiring security for the homeless problem they just lock the doors so their customers can’t bank

Waste of time. I applied online for a line of credit and received an email a few days later instructing me to call the CIBC 1-800 number. When I called, I was told I had to book an in-branch appointment to complete the application. I scheduled a 12:00 PM appointment, had to rearrange my workday, and took time off to attend. After spending 30 minutes in the branch, I was simply told my application was denied. It’s frustrating that this couldn’t have been communicated earlier.
